We've had the pleasure of working with with many local organizations, and are excited to continue promoting wellness, fitness, and physical literacy in our communities. Dr. Bernard's 2021 Great Cycle Challenge. In August 2021, Dr. Duriell Bernard, Total Therapy Chiropractor, took part in his first ever ride to fight kids’ cancer! All together, Duriell cycled 804 km and raised $2,578.01 towards fighting kids’ cancer. Duriell, you are a true inspiration! Dr. Bernard's 2022 Ride For Kids’ Cancer! In August 2022, Dr. Bernard took part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for his second year! All together, he cycled 654.6 km and raised $3,026.47 towards fighting kids’ cancer. Meet Long-Time Client, Jen Daniels! In 2022, Jen participated in Cops For Cancer, where she rode to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Jen was inspired to take on this ride after witnessing the great success that Cops For Cancer has had in raising funds for pediatric cancer. After seeing the impact that cancer has on people's lives, including her husband who is a cancer survivor, Jen knew this ride was an opportunity to pair her love for fitness with an important cause. An incredible achievement, Jen! Thank you for all that you do!Colin Runs The 2021 Vancouver Historic Half! Total Therapy Physiotherapist, Colin, running the 2021 Vancouver Historic Half! One of many races that Colin ran in 2021! Nice work, Colin! We look forward to many more races (and the happy race-day photos like this one) in the future! Amy Runs The Great Trek Half! Total Therapy executive administrative team member, Amy, ran her first ever half marathon! Amy finished with an impressive time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Way to go, Amy! Nico Runs BMO! Total Therapy Kinesiologist, Nico, running the 2022 BMO half marathon! Congratulations on a strong finish and an incredible achievement, Nico. Way To Go, Kevin! One of our North Burnaby Registered Massage Therapists, Kevin, successfully participated in the 2023 BC Masters Provincial Championship!! Congrats, Mackenzie! Our client, Mackenzie, competed in her first ever national competition and won second place! Here's what Mackenzie's physiotherapist, Trevor, had to say Mackenzie's win: "It's been great working with Mackenzie, she's really energetic and has a bubbly personality which makes working with her so fun. She's a naturally gifted powerlifter having only been in the competitive circuit for a short time. Although powerlifting has come second nature to her, she's fought through different injuries and put in a lot of hard work and dedication to get to where she is. I'm excited to see how far she goes!"

 

Amazing Work, Marina! Total Therapy Kinesiologist, Marina Pecchia, and her hockey team, the North Shore Rebels, were crowned the BC Senior Female AA Champions of the 2022-2023 season! Way to take that crown, ladies! Amy Runs The BMO 2023 Half Marathon! Total Therapy executive administrative team member, Amy, ran her second half marathon! Amy not only successfully completed the 21.1 km's... but set a new personal best time! Amazing job, Amy!Nico Runs The BMO 2023 Half Marathon! Total Therapy Kinesiologist, Nico Calara, ran the BMO Half Marathon for the second year in a row! Nico set a personal record for his half marathon time of 1 hour and 39 minutes. Incredible job, Nico! Way to go, Branden! Total Therapy Kinesiologist, Branden Ma, and his volleyball team were crowned champions of the 2022-2023 season! Way to go, team!Way To Go, Colin! Total Therapy Physiotherapist, Colin Kroeger, ran yet another race this year! Colin ran the 1500m in 4 minutes and 58 seconds. Phenomenal job, Colin! Congratulations, Tonya! Total Therapy Kinesiologist, Tonya Wheatley, recently achieved her 3rd degree black belt in martial arts! Tonya, your dedication, hard work, and consistency is inspiring. Way to go! Nice work, Colin! Total Therapy Physiotherapist, Colin Kroeger, raced the North Shore Triathlon - for the second year in a row! Awesome job, Colin! And just like that.... he's done it again! Total Therapy Physiotherapist, Colin Kroeger, has conquered yet another milestone! Colin has just completed his second Triathlon within this summer alone, and this time, he conquered his first-ever Olympic Distance Triathlon! In October 2014, Linda was diagnosed with Parkinson’s however she refused to let it define her! Despite the challenges presented by Parkinson’s, Linda has managed to continue living an active and independent life. She continued travelling and even went on a 3-week trip to Sweden in 2016! "turning a challenge into an opportunity" A Word From Marina, Linda's Kinesiologist "I am inspired by Linda's determination and motivation to gain back her strength and health to help aid in delaying the progression of her current health. She continues to show that with routine and hard work, it can be achieved."CLIENT SUCCESS STORIES. Meet Hanif! We are happy to introduce our amazing client, Hanif! Hanif is a 3 time gold medalist representing Canada in boccia! Hanif has cerebral palsy, which causes continuous contraction of muscles in the body impacting his movement, balance, and posture. Although there are many difficulties that accompany this condition, he has not let anything stop him and strives to continue working towards his goals. He has maintained a top 10 ranking internationally and won gold at the 2019 Défi Sportif AlterGo National Open! As a client who has attended Total Therapy for 11 years, he always brings his bright outlook anytime he is at the clinic and puts a smile on all of our faces. Hanif's Inspiring Journey! Christian Morin, Hanif's physiotherapist, reassures that “this is not a sad story,”. During their sessions, Hanif is always joking around and has a positive attitude. This further continues to not allow his condition define his outlook on his own life.
